I offer a wide range of laser and IPL treatments from Fractional Laser for scars and wrinkles to IPL or laser for hair , pigment and vein removal and removing unwanted tattoos. LASER AND IPL
I carry out IPL and Laser hair removal using my versatile Lynton Lumina system. The physics behind these two modalities is the same, albeit delivered in slightly different ways.
A chromophore, in this case melanin, in the hair itself is targeted with the light energy, which converts to a heat energy.
This in turn travels down the follicle, to the base, where it is heated and destroyed. The hair therefore cannot grow back.
I choose which modality to use depending on your skin type and the area to be treated.
All areas of the body can be treated including facial hair , even that caused by poly -cystic ovarian syndrome.
An initial test patch and consultation must be carried out at least 24 hours before full treatment.
During the procedure cool air is continuously blown on the skin to minimise any discomfort.
Post procedure soothing lotion is applied and sun protection to any exposed areas. Full post treatment instructions will be given to you.
IPL hair removal is extremely effective and safe and very well tolerated.
TATTOO REMOVAL
I have been removing tattoos safely and effectively for many years now with my powerful Q Switched Nd:Yag Laser.
Black and red is extremely effective , other colours are very succesful too.
I am always happy to give a free consultation and an estimate of cost either in person or over the phone. Many clients send me a picture first. It does take a few treatments, but I will tell you how many I think your tattoo will need.
Often I am sent clients by tattoo artists to fade a tattoo down prior to a change.
INJECTABLES
Injectables come in 2 forms... fillers and muscle relaxants or toxin.
HA or Hyaluronic Acid is the most commonly used filler for plumping lips, filling lines and adding volume and definition to the face.

FRACTIONAL LASER RESURFACING
State of the art powerful laser resurfacing for wrinkles, pigmentation and scarring , especially acne scarring and smokers mouth lines.
Any area of the body can be treated with my very effective collagen stimulating laser.
Initial resurfacing of superficial pigmentation is followed by collagenesis deep in the dermis.
PROMAX LIPO
Ultrasound waves combined with Radio Frequency cause heating of fat molecules, making them liquid in order to be expelled from the body.
Combined with strong massage and vacuum suction, this enables stubborn areas of fat such as tummy and hips to be dispersed and collagen bands to be tightened, resulting in improvement in the appearance of cellulite.
Pigmentation and Vascular lesions
We live on an island blessed with many sunny days and unfortunately the UVA damage that accompanies that.

UVA is responsible for broken veins, unsightly brown marks and wrinkles. It penetrates glass and slices into the epidermis , even bouncing off your computer screen. It's present all year round so I always advise a sun block in the winter months too when we are out and about in the elements.
Treatment is with laser or IPL and peels can be very effective too. Again a combination of these will help to remove them.
The minimal skin care advice I give is to use Vitamin A or Retinol and high factor sun block 30 in winter, 50 in summer . Vitamin A encourages new skin cells to grow and Sun block prevents further damage.
Pigment initially turns darker after treatment then gradually flakes off leaving a thinner layer underneath.
A few sessions are needed for complete removal.
For broken veins , the energy heats the walls of the vessels until they collapse and the blood supply is halted. The body then mops up the old blood and carried it away, a bit like healing a bruise. The vessels shrink away and gradually disappear.

Focus Dual
High Focussed Ultrasound (HIFU) and Radio Frequency Microneedling
State of the art skin lifting and tightening plus fat dissolving and scar / wrinkle reduction.
A dual modality machine which produces consistent results with very little downtime. Treatments can be single or dual modality depending on the areas of concern.
Particularly beneficial for lower face , jowls, neck wrinkles and smokers lines around the mouth. An alternative to injections or can be combined in a treatment programme.
Profhilo and HIFU
A very effective lifting , tightening combined treatment which encourages new collagen and elastin formation. The next best thing to a lower face lift if you are not quite ready for surgery!
Over 6 months you will have 3x HIFU and 3x Profhilo alternating.
